And spotty thunderstorm chances are in the forecast for Friday, Sunday, and Monday over the Memorial Day weekend, although the severe weather threat looks low. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO LATE THURSDAY
MORNING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Missouri River at Plattsmouth.
* WHEN...From late tonight to late Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, Minor flooding is occurring in the parking
lots near the gauge site and boat ramp. In addition, a private
camping area just upstream of the gauge site begins to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 23.6 feet...or 2.4 feet
below flood stage.
- Bankfull stage is 26.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tonight to a crest of 27.1 feet tomorrow evening. It
will then fall below flood stage early Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
